Costs

For truck drivers, the Code 95 certificate is necessary to operate trucks that weigh more than 7.5 tons in Europe. The certificate is valid for 5 years and must be added to the driver's license category C or C+E. The certificate can be added to C1 or C1E licenses, allowing the driver to use lighter trailer combinations.

You must take a psychological test and a medical examination to receive a Code 95 Certificate. After completing the course you will receive the plastic Code 95 Certificate that can be added to your driving license. The course fee includes a medical exam, PKZ service and payment for the plastic Code 95 Certificate.

The cost of the Code 95 certificate is similar to other driving courses. It is also important to remember that the course must be held at a CBR-approved driving academy. After the course, the student must go to the Road Traffic Safety Directorate to apply for a new license. The deadline to replace the license is six months from the date the course was completed. This is to make sure that the driver has the necessary level of competence and knowledge to drive an automobile that is heavy-duty. The driver should also know how to read the speed limits and kilometer signs posted on the road.

Code 95 on a driver's license signifies that you have completed the necessary training to drive buses or trucks professionally. There are two kinds of instruction for Code 95: the long course and the shorter course. The long course lasts for about four weeks and ends with a governmental test. After passing the test you will be issued a plastic card. The card has to be submitted into the database of unification European certificates. The school where you attended classes will then submit the card to the database. The card will be processed in 14 days.

Exams

You must pass both the theory and practical tests to get the code 95 on your license. These tests can be taken on their own, or as part of the acquisition of a basic category license at a driving school. Upon successful completion of the tests, you will be given a certificate and code 95 card. The card is valid only for five years and has to be renewed by the expiration date.

Depending on the training programme and the type of training you choose, you can opt for short or long-term courses to prepare for the code 95 exam. The long course is about four weeks long and culminates with a test administered by the government. This exam asks you to answer 30 questions about the topics covered in your classes.

You must complete 35 hours of periodic training every five years following passing the code 95 exam. It is possible to do this in the country in which you live or work. The training sessions are conducted by an instructor. The CBR provides an online tool for finding an instructor. You will receive a confirmation from both your teacher and CBR after you have completed the course. The CBR will inform the RDW of your completion.
